Hi gamers!

I'm pleased to let you know that everyone's books have been dispatched. Some of you will have already received your copies, others are on the way. UK backers will get their books first. Backers in the European postal region will get them shortly thereafter. And for folks further afield, your books are out for ocean freight and will be with you soon.

It felt fantastic to hold the physical copies in my hands, and I really hope you're all going to be as pleased as I am with the final product. We'd love to hear your thoughts on Twitter at @BoardGameBook, and if you wanted to leave a review on Amazon or post about the book on your favourite social media platforms, it would be massively appreciated.

Now that the hectic logistical process is taken care of, I've had time to take stock of just how widespread support for the project has been. As well as the UK and North America, we have backers from France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil, Iceland and so many other countries. It's incredible that the gaming hobby has become so  entrenched around the globe, and humbling that so many of you were willing to lend us your support to make our plans a reality.

We have some exciting things lined up for the next edition, including some fantastic new additions to our team of contributors. We'll be discussing them in more detail after the UK Games Expo this weekend (and if you're going to UKGE, please stop by and say hello at our stand in Hall 2). Until then, thank you so much for your support. It's not easy trying to make games writing work as a viable job, and your help has been more valuable than I can say.

Latest news on physical copies

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know the status of physical copies of the book. The printers are telling us that they should be ready by the end of the week. We had hoped to have them sooner than this, and I can only apologise for the hold-up. This is something we'll be addressing urgently for next year's edition.

For backers in the UK, we'll be sending out copies as soon as we have them. All going smoothly, that should mean your books will be in your hands next week.

For backers in North America, we'll be sending your copies by ocean freight, then fulfilling pledges from a warehouse in the US. You should get your copies not too long after UK backers.

If you're located in other parts of the world, we'll be sending your orders by international post. Delivery time will vary by distance, but shouldn't take too long!

Thanks again for all of your patience and support. It's been frustrating trying to get over the last hurdles, but it looks like we're finally there.
